Axon Sports LLC launched in August 2010 in the United States as a joint venture between CogState Ltd and Quixote Investment, a Portland Oregon-based investment group.〔Company Overview of Axon Sports, LLC, http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapid=108960892〕 The first emphasis of this joint venture was the Computerised Cognitive Assessment Tool, known as the CCAT, which is an online product developed to help medical providers determine whether an athlete has suffered a concussion and to assist them in making return to play decisions. The CCAT has been adopted by three major professional leagues in the United States, as well as Rugby Football Union OR Rugby League Football, the Australian Football League and the Professional Jockeys Association.
